Just a couple of things...

Does anyone (other than my roommate) watch Rock Of Love Bus?  It's pretty ridiculous, to be perfectly honest, but there's some really good material, such as these messes being drunk and trying to figure out how to cook a Lean Cuisine.  It's brilliant.

I haven't been watching that much American Idol this season, but I'm currently tuned in.  They're in the process of picking the top 36 (I think), and everyone is getting like two minutes to perform. There are a few standouts, a few people with really nice voices, but no one that I'm super excited about yet.  I mean, I've only seen maybe 25% of the contestants, so I'm sure there's some real fierceness hidden amongst them.  :)

Tuesday night news...

Katharine McPhee, one of my top 10 favorite Idol contestants ever, was dropped by her record label last year...  Sad.  However, she's getting another chance!  Hopefully this time the album will sell.  Her debut album was really good, it just didn't ever put out any hits.

VH1 will be putting out a new reality show this summer staring NFL star Terrell Owens.  Hmm... Will anyone watch?  If it was about Tom Brady or Brett Farve, they'd probably have a goldmine on their hands.

Who's the next "star" to sign up for Dancing With The Stars?  None other than Donny Osmond!

I've watched a few episodes of Bret Michael's new show, Rock Of Love Bus.  It's trashtastic.  It's ridiculous.  Don't believe me?  Click here to see all that happened on the last episode.

Saturday Night Stories

It's definitely not a spinoff...  J. Alexander and Jay Manuel of America's Next Top Model are getting their own show on The CW, in which five women from one town all get makeovers and do some sort of competition until a winner is chosen...  Interesting.  It's called Operation Fabulous.  Good one.

How many more spin-offs can they come up with?  This time it's Daisy from Rock Of Love's turn to try to find her one true love.  I'm sure some guy who loses on her show will end up with his own show, and so on and so on.  It's a vicious cycle and I LOVE IT.

Dancing With The Stars has come up with a Plan B.  So far this season, like five people have been injured on the show, including Misty May-Treanor who actually had to leave the competition.  Well, the producers have come up with this idea...  If a member of a team is injured during rehearsals and doesn't feel up to dancing live on the show, they can opt to show (probably edited) rehearsal footage.  Reality TV is so real!

This should be good: Sarah Palin has reportedly signed on to guest star on Saturday Night Live's October 25th show!  In all fairness, I hope she does a good job.

I can't wait to hear David Archuleta's debut album, due out November 11, a week before champion David Cook's own album drops.  David A. has finally landed a manager and all the pieces are coming together for the cutest crooner to hit the Idol stage.

Final Thought:  Seacrest out.  He's so funny.

A couple of updates.

A few days ago, it was reported that Nina Garcia was fired from her post as Fashion Editor for Elle magazine... Obviously people began to speculate about how this would affect her standing as a judge on Project Runway. Perez explains it all. I do think it would be a big loss to the show if Nina was no longer a judge; I mean, she really has great taste and often plays the "Simon Cowell" roll on that show.

Bret Michael's picked Ambre on the season finale of Rock Of Love 2. I mean, out of the last two "girls," I'd have picked her, too. But is he in love with her? It seems like maybe they're just gonna be friends... To be honest, I really don't care.

The 20th season of The Real World will be bringing some big changes! Their house will be eco-friendly ("green"), the roommates will not work together but instead each pursue their dreams, and one of the cast members was chosen online! Interesting... This season is in Hollywood, so I'm sure the drama will be better than ever.

New Shows!!

There are so many shows starting up in the realm of reality TV, so I thought I'd take a moment and preview some of them, as well as take a look at some returning favorites...

Thursday, Jan. 10 brings the much-anticipated premier of Celebrity Rehab on VH1.  I am pretty excited to see this show mostly because of contestant (is that the right word?) Jessica Sierra; she was a finalist on American Idol season four and was my favorite for a couple of weeks.  She's a total wreck now, having been arrested numerous times over the past couple of years.  Read about the other contestants here.

Also on the 10th, Bravo's new show Make Me A Supermodel premiers.  I hope it's as good as it looks...  Let's face it, Bravo never fails to deliver.

Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant.  Quite frankly, I really don't care.  The "star"'s reality show's second season starts Sunday on VH1.

Another VH1 show coming soon: Rock Of Love.  The second season will probably end the same as the first, with Bret Michaels looking for more time in the spotlight.  You can actually watch the first episode online.  That is, if you want to.  I skipped it.

Tonight on TLC is the season-premier of Big Medicine, a show I will definitely watch because my (Emmy-nominated) sister is one of the editors.  The show follows overweight patients as they undergo bariatric surgery in addition to other methods for losing weight.  Should be inspiring and pretty graphic.

I am completely anxious about the season premier of American Idol on Fox on Jan. 10...  Is this season going to be good like seasons 1, 3, 4, or 5?  I hope it's not as disappointing as the last season...  The preview on Fox.com looks great, so I'm trying to remain hopeful.  (PS--Did you know that Taylor Hicks was dropped from J Records?  PPS--Did you know that Clay Aiken will be on Broadway in Monty Python's Spamalot?)

More coming soon!

Some Sunday Tidbits...

Not only is Jessica Sierra from American Idol in jail right now, but she is also getting ready to star on VH1's Celebrity Rehab or something. OH YEAH, she's pregnant, too.

Holly Madison turned 28 yesterday. Hef's Number One is my favorite, too. She's fierce.

This is pretty funny, actually. Bret Michael's show Rock Of Love's second season is coming soon, and three of the potential girlfriends are transexuals.

Katharine McPhee is in a movie! This is news to me... I probably won't see it, mostly because Rumer Willis is in it and I think she's the biggest joke on the planet.

I haven't heard any of the tracks yet, but Blake Lewis (runner-up on American Idol last season) has put out a CD. Read his interview with AmericanIdol.com! His album is at #32 on the Billboard Chart this week; last week it was at #10. He's so cute, too.

Yessss!! So You Think You Can Dance? auditions are beginning January 17! If you're a fierce dancer, please audition. This is one of my favorite shows of all time.

A Shot At Love: The Final Round was on recently, and it is a joke. It turns out that "Little Italy" himself, Dominico, is going to have his own show on MTV. It's called That's Amore. Typical. Spin-offs of dating shows have really become popular lately... Tila looks absolutely ridiculous on the show--a tiny gold dress and a new haircut. Dani is still a fierce firefighter. Bobby and Tila couldn't see one another for two months. AND Tila makes a big announcement:

A Couple of Updates...

American Idol season two winner Ruben Studdard (I hoped I would never have to write about him) has been dropped by his record label. That sucks, you know? Maybe he will have to do some commercials in his home town like Melinda Doolittle did...

Also in Idol news, the ever-trashy Jessica Sierra has put out a sex tape! I won't be watching it, and I don't think Perez will be either...

Even more Idol news! Page Six is reporting that Fantasia is pregnant! She's had her understudy go on for her in The Color Purple on Broadway sooo many times lately; maybe it's because she's with child.

One more Idol tidbit. Simon Cowell has lost some weight apparently. He looks kind of good...??!!??

VH1 is bringing Bret Michaels back for another season of Rock Of Love. Personally, I don't really care because I don't know who he is and I have never watched an episode of that show before.

Heidi Montag is on the cover of USWeekly confirming that she and Spencer are NOT getting married. Apparently the ring wasn't her "dream ring" or something stupid like that. I mean, here's the thing--Heidi is never going to find someone more perfect for her than Spencer.

Tila Tequila picked the boy. That's dumb because she already has a boyfriend! She should have chosen Dani because she's cuter and would be more fun to add to her existing relationship. Do I smell a spin-off featuring Dani to come in 2008?
